2009 was a great year for most and I hope 2010 is just as good.
New Thursday lesson times. The classes on Thursday have changed 6.00 to 8.00. The class will have a formal bow in and out, but please feel welcome to come any time between this time (it's better to train for 1 hour than not at all) This will start on January 14th 2010. Every 3rd Thursday of the month is only 6.00 to 7.00 and this class is only weapons and all grades and other clubs are welcome to attend.
Some of the students are now at the end of their training, with a black belt not to far away. However, to progress is not just about the amount of lessons you have trained since the last grading. There is also attitude, enthusiasm, consistency, skill, dedication, focus, strength and sharpness of techniques to consider. In 2009 I will be focusing on these aspects, so if you wish to grade ensure your kata, stances, techniques and strength are of a high standard. Remember, karate is a personal journey of achievement with highs and lows, a grading should be one of the highs. Try your hardest and a little bit more.

NAS News
Kev, Cass, Chloe, Jack, Trent and myself went to Melbourne to compete in the 2009 NAS Australian Championships. We all came back with more knowledge about what is involved to be successful in these events. Jack received a 3rd place in his weapons event and I won the traditional weapons event.
All in all it was a great weekend and recommend it to all.

If a boomerang always comes back to you when you throw it, why throw it?
